Pillow

”They’re coming for me,” she declared in dismay. Clutching her pillow to her chest, she stared ahead at the screen. Her tear stained face reflected the pallor of doom, tan turned to ashen lines.

The scene illuminating the screen bore witness to her deepest thoughts of treachery. Revolution, nay, revolt, played out in gory blood stained images from her mind’s eye.
A banging on the door interrupted her and rocketed up her terror. She shook as men in full body armor bore down on her, huddling around in their black Kevlar.
One of them parted the sea of guns and thrust a paper in her face.
“Nameless One, you are under arrest for treasonous dreams. You have no rights from here on and your family and friends will be informed of your extermination. Anything you think can and will be used against you.”
Tears rolled down her face as one stepped forward and hit her over the head with the butt of his gun. The world faded away.
